Dear Body,

Lou has been weaned for well over two weeks now.  Feel free to stop producing {and leaking} milk at any time.

Also, face, I am not a teenager.  Red spots are not in style.  Please remedy this situation as soon as possible.

And brain, I would really appreciate it if you could return from wherever it is that you have been.  I miss you.

Love,
Janelle

It took me months after I weaned Blake to stop making milk, but at least I wasn't leaking.

I hear you on the face thing. I hav ebeen on rpescriptions for my skin for the last 3 months. Who'd think at 25 I'd have worse skin problems than I did in high school!

I love this!! You crack me up! Elijah has been weaned for 3 months now and I still have a little... so funny! I ended up pumping once a week or so later to ease the pressure and it was good from there. Good luck with the brain thing, ours are probably on vacation together, let me know when you find yours!

I know EXACTLY what you mean on ALL of this! The milk will stop, at least enough that you don't leak. The skin, maybe after 30(my fingers are crossed). I don't think the brain ever fully returns.

About the weaning, Jacob decided to wean himself from nursing on Jan. 1st. Luckily, I was only felt engorged for a night but was able to pump. I pumped every other one or two days for a week. Stopped the following week. He is on formula now until we can start him on milk.

Amen to the face comment. I feel like I'm in middle school. Except I didn't have acne problems in middle school. Grrr.
